I generally recommend hand washing naturally dyed textiles in cool water and hanging to dry in the shade to preserve color intensity. A hot iron is also recommended afterwards to restore softness, especially in linens and raw silk/silk noil. Linen napkins, linen handkerchiefs, and cotton tea towels can be washed in the machine on a gentle, cool water setting. It is best to use a pH neutral soap.
