Care Instructions

I generally recommend hand washing naturally dyed textiles in cool water and hanging to dry in the shade to preserve color intensity. A warm or hot iron is also recommended afterwards to restore softness, especially in linens (with steam) and raw silk/silk noil. Linen napkins, linen handkerchiefs, and cotton tea towels can be washed in the machine on a gentle, cool water setting and dried in the dryer on low. It is best to use a pH neutral soap for all naturally dyed textiles, or the colors may shift. No bleach! (I often just use a couple drops of Dawn or Ecover.) Please contact me if you have questions about a specific piece.
