Hand-dyed, drafted and sewn women's eco-print tunic. Naturally dyed with locally foraged sumac leaves, ginkgo leaves (from the oldest gingko tree in the US!), mint, wrapped in birch bark and steamed for hours to create a permanent patten. Then over-dyed with cochineal shifting the colors and adding more depth and this lovely pale magenta. Low scoop back and longer back hem. This linen blend has a lovely drape and is incredibly soft and breathable. Truly a one-of-a-kind textile and silhouette! 

It takes time to extract the color from cochineal: by soaking, simmering, straining and then repeating over several days and weeks to extract the most color. The cochineal is from a 5 family farm in Peru.
