Come explore the wonderful, colorful, endlessly inspiring world of natural dyes in this 3 hour workshop hosted by Garden Dreams. I will lead you through the steps to create lasting and vibrant color on cloth. Each participant has the opportunity to experiment with different dyestuffs grown in the garden, or collected locally. We’ll discuss various techniques for prepping fibers to ensure vibrant and lasting results, different bundle dyeing techniques, and resources for continuing your natural dye journey at home. Participants will leave with a beautiful silk scarf they’ve dyed with plants and flowers. 

Bundle dyeing is an excellent introduction to natural dyeing and no experience is necessary for this workshop. All materials are included in the class fee. 

This workshop will be held in an outside work space in the garden, so please dress for comfort, art making, and weather conditions.
